Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez is one of the world’s leading practitioners of a form of kinetic art, which explores how the viewer perceives color and shape.

His public commissions can be seen in open spaces from Caracas to Paris and his unique paintings sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Among the best known ones is the floor he designed in the main airport of Caracas.

Carlos Cruz-Diez was born in 1923. Now at the age of 93, he is still working. He considered his good attitude in life the secret of his longevity.
