World leaders gathered at the United Nations in New York for a major signing ceremony as the Paris climate agreement moves forward.

Representatives from about 170 countries took part in the climate agreement ceremony at the U.N. on Friday.

“A moment in history,” said U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who added “We are in a race against time.”

CCTV correspondent Nathan King joined the show from U.N. headquarters.

To talk about the historic Paris Climate agreement, we were joined by:

  • Changhua Wu, chair of the China Redesign Hub and former Greater China Director of the Climate Group
  • Chris Field, a professor of environmental studies at Stanford University
  • Renato Redentor Constantino, executive director at the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities
  • Tara Houska, director for the U.S. branch of an environmental activist organization called Honor the Earth.
