FIFA has a new president for the first time since 1998. Gianni Infantino succeeded fellow Swiss Sepp Blatter as President of World football’s governing body but his election was not without drama.

After nine months of uncertainty, FIFA has a new President. The task ahead of Infantino is significant. FIFA’s image remains tarnished following a succession of controversies. And there could be further revelations to come with two ongoing investigations into world football.
