Protesters in Pakistan demand the resignation of Prime Minister

Police fired tear gas at anti-government protesters in Pakistan. The protesters demand that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resign.

Reportedly four people died during the clashes and more than 300 were injured.

Demonstrators began their sit-in in the federal capital, Islamabad, on August 14. They want the prime minister to resign due to alleged rigging in the 2013 elections.
