Ever wish you could show your boss how hard you’re working? Or your professors how hard you’re thinking? Besides the amount of time we invest or the workload we complete, currently we have no real means of measuring how much effort we put into a task.

Bringing Humans and Technology Even Closer Together

Full Frame visited Tufts University School of Engineering where Professor Robert Jacob and Professor Sergio Fantini introduced us to ground-breaking technology that may bring humans and technology even closer together.

But a computer scientist and biomedical engineer at Tufts University in Massachusetts have teamed up to create a non-invasive tool for measuring brain activity and calculating productivity.

Full Frame visited Tufts University School of Engineering where Professor Robert Jacob and Professor Sergio Fantini introduced us to ground-breaking technology that may bring humans and technology even closer together.

“The idea is to have something that is invisible to the user and is able to adapt the interface in a way that is transparent to the user,” Professor Robert Jacob explained. “Our goal is to improve communication between people and the equipment they use.  So it’s more natural, more convenient, less distracting from their lives.”

The applications for this technology are vast, but at the very least, it could mean that your smartphone, tablet or computer may soon “know” you better and adjust itself to make your life easier and more productive.
