Dwindling manufacturing opportunities forced one business owner to turn to China. And that's all he's needed to ride his two-wheeled dreams into global success. CCTV America's Jim Spellman reports from Ohio.

That’s the classic American sound of very loud motorcycles, but these bikes weren’t made in the U.S., they were made in China.

Scott Colosimo started Cleveland Cyclewerks in 2009. His dream was to make cool motorcycles at a reasonable price. He soon realized the costs of U.S .manufacturing was out of reach, so he traveled around China visiting various factories, ultimately partnering with several established Chinese companies.

Riders in the U.S. were initially hesitant to embrace motorcycles made in China, but Cleveland CycleWerks is changing that.

“I think it’s become less of an issue because the products are well built, they are priced right, and they exude a certain sense of style. They have the right rumble. It’s the right kind of product so I think the minds of people are definitely changing,” he said.

They bikes are designed in Cleveland, Ohio and sold through a network of dealers in the U.S. and around the world. It’s a business model that benefits Chinese manufacturers and puts people to work in the U.S.

More models are on the way and Cleveland CycleWerks hopes to keep making riders happy on down the road.
