The Heat: US – Russia relations

The state of the relationship between the United States and Russia has rarely been worse.

There are major tensions over the war in Syria where the U.S. has accused Russia of war crimes. Russia has denounced that accusation as “rubbish.”

The U.S. also accuses Russia of hacking into the Democratic National Committee computers to interfere in the U.S. presidential election – accusations that Russia also denies.

Now, with the U.S. about to elect a new president at the beginning of next month, there are serious questions about where the relationship between the two powers goes from here.

CCTV’s Elena Casas reports from Moscow.
