Uniting a community in Mexico with public spaces

Americas Now

It’s a community effort to not only protect and preserve a city but make it flourish. From constructing public spaces to creating street art and green infrastructure. For this week’s Game Changer meet the founder of “Urbaneria”…Lucia Corral.

Lucia and her organization live by the motto “if you want your city to change, you need to start changing it yourself.” The young woman from La Paz, Mexico believes her hometown can be the best city in the world if everyone who lives there works for it.

Her project offers self-made solutions aimed at tackling urban issues. But Lucia is also working on handbooks so that people can be empowered to do what “Urbanería” does at home.
