Dozens dead and hundreds injured as three attackers open fire on the Ataturk airport in Istanbul, Turkey.

They arrived by taxi – three attackers entered the Ataturk airport late Tuesday and opened fire. After confrontation with police, they detonated their suicide vests – blasting apart the terminal, killing dozens and injuring hundreds.

The Turkish government has said early signs point to the involvement of ISIL. That terrorist group lies right across the Turkish border in Syria.
