The Heat: Most disliked presidential candidates

The Heat

As Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump chart a path to their political party’s nomination, polling data shows they’re the most disliked candidates in the past 30 years.

How did two so negatively-viewed politicians rise to the top?

The next stop on the race for the U.S. presidency is the political party conventions – first the Republicans will meet, followed by the Democrats. At these conventions, they’ll formalize their nominees –presumed to be Donald Trump on the Republican side and Hillary Clinton for the Democrats.

But these two candidates are not well liked by the majority of Americans – in fact, they have the lowest approval ratings of any political candidates since polling began.
