Second black box from EgyptAir found

Searchers have recovered the second flight data recorder from the wreckage of EgyptAir Flight 804.

CCTV’s Yasser Hakim reports from Cairo.

The Airbus A320 crashed in the sea while en route from Paris to Cairo last month. All 66 people on board were killed.

A search operation has been recovering bodies and debris for more than three weeks. And the first black box was found recently.

Another breakthrough has been made recently when searchers recovered the second black box in the Mediterranean Sea.

Searchers have recovered the second flight data recorder from the wreckage of EgyptAir Flight 804.

However, just like the cockpit voice recorder, the flight data recorder is also damaged.

But investigators said they could still provide clues as to what caused last month’s crash in the Mediterranean.

Information from both boxes will be extracted and analysed in Cairo. The French-Egyptian investigating team will be joined by experts from the U.S. Transportation and Safety Board, to help analyze the data.

These latest findings have raised hopes of solving the mystery behind the crash of EgyptAir flight 804.
