Entrepreneur Nancy Lublin talks about inspriting young people to give back.

Her latest venture, Crisis Text Line, is a 24/7-support line for young people who are experiencing emotional crisis. The idea was sparked by a text Lublin’s team received from a teen being abused by her father.

“We realized, we owed her more and the world owed her more,” said Lublin. “So, we set out to build a crisis text line so they could get help, 24/7, by text.”

Growing rapidly since its creation in 2011, counselors currently receive 15 million texts each day.

Nancy Lublin joined Mike Walter to discuss what she has learned about inspiring and motivating young people to give back in their communities and take action to make an impact.
