Investigators turn to DNA tests to identify remains from EgyptAir crash

As more wreckage and human remains from the EgyptAir Flight 804 crash are found daily, relatives of the victims have been trying to identify the bodies with DNA testings.

CCTV’s Yasser Hakim reports from Cairo, Egypt.

The human remains from the EgyptAir crash are small in size, but are being used by a forensic team, who examines them for signs of explosives.

“We then have the possibility of a terrorist action. If a sudden disappearance of the plane, it could mean that something has happened abnormal not related to mechanical equipment or pilot performance on the plane”, Samir Abdel Raouf, president of the Egyptian Aviation Academy said.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has received a delegation from France’s parliament. Egypt said there is close coordination between them, France, and Greece. However, some experts warn of politicizing a tragedy of such magnitude.

Experts from Egypt, France, and Airbus have started investigating the wreckage and remains of the doomed flight. However, no official results have been announced yet.
