Violence erupted in Brussels Tuesday at the end of a massive anti-austerity rally. In France, strikes over labor laws have led to a petrol shortage at many gas stations across the country.CCTV’s Kevin Ozebek reports from Brussels on why a growing number of European workers are fed up.

In France, many workers went on strike at all eight of the country’s oil refineries-causing shortages at an estimated 20 percent of French petrol stations.

French workers are upset over new labor laws that make it easier for employers to hire and fire their employees. The government said the labor laws will stay.

Meanwhile, in Brussels the violence has eased but not the anger over the government proposals.

In Belgium many unions said they were ready to strike. It’s possible that in the coming week’s metro service could be disrupted as well as air travel if airport employees decide to strike.
