The news of the Paris flight haunts people at airports. Whatever the reason for the crash, the fall out is likely to be damaging.

Many are eager to know exactly what happened to EgyptAir 804, but others fear the consequences.

“The French president was here a month ago, and the man was supporting us. I see that whenever there is a good relation between us and any country in the world, someone or some accident happens. It happened with Russia after the plane crash here and with Italy in Regeni and now with France. Egypt is being extremely pressured. I hope this crisis passes,” Mohamed Hussein a Cairo resident said.

That same feeling is something many Egyptians share – a feeling that they are losing their international friends one after the other.

They fear that this crash might affect ties with their strongest European partner, France.

So far President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and President Francois Hollande Stressed that they will pass this crisis together and find the real reasons behind the crash.
