6-month-old girl rescued from Nairobi rubble

Four days after the collapse of a building in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, a baby has been pulled alive from the debris.

At least 23 people were killed in the tragedy, and over 90 remain missing. Yet the 6-month-old girl, named Dealeryn Saisi Wasike, survived with barely a scratch. CCTV’s Soni Methu reports.

Four days after the collapse of a building in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, a baby has been pulled alive from the debris. At least 23 people were killed in the tragedy, and over 90 remain missing. The baby was plucked from under the rubble early Tuesday morning, around 80 hours after the building collapsed. She was found in a bucket.

Red Cross rescue workers found the baby and they also found the body of a woman next to the child.

To many, the survival of Dealeryn Saisi Wasike is nothing short of a miracle.
