New device to diagnose brain injury in seconds2

A new device recently approved by the U.S. could alter the way concussions are assessed.

It’s called the Eye-Sync and its inventors claim it can gauge a brain injury in less than 60 seconds.

That would make it ideal for treating athletes and soldiers who often need rapid diagnoses.

CCTV America’s Karina Huber reports.

The Eye-Sync device got approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration just this year, which means the company SyncThink has the green light to market the product. First on the list: sports teams and the military.

The company is offering subscriptions at $10 to $15 dollars per year per teammate on a sports team or military organization. If the device revolutionizes the way we assess concussions, it could be a small price to pay to help protect people’s brains.
