A rare selection of artwork from the Ming Dynasty is on exhibition at the Smithsonian’s Arthur M. Sackler Gallery in Washington D.C.

The exhibit celebrates the work of some of China’s most revered artists.

A rare selection of artwork from the Ming Dynasty is on exhibition at the Smithsonian's Arthur M. Sackler Gallery in Washington D.C. The exhibit celebrates the work of some of China's most revered artists. CCTV America's Andrea Arenas reports.

Chinese calligraphy called “shufa” is done with a brush instead of a pen. During the Ming Dynasty, the Chinese considered the combination of these three forms the ultimate expression of Chinese culture, calling it the “Three Perfections.”

Such perfection might be hard to find anywhere in the West. A banquet for the eyes from China, on exhibit until July 24.
