Impeached, but still hanging on to high office, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff's fate is now in the hands of the country's Senate. CCTV America's Paulo Cabral reports.

The situation wasn’t looking good for her government, but she and her supporters said they’re not going down without a fight.

Government supporters who came to protest the impeachment dismantled their camps and prepared to go home. Some said they consider the impeachment vote a temporary defeat.

Government officials and allies said they will keep up the fight to stop the impeachment process in the Senate. However, most admit it’s going to be an uphill struggle.
