Dozens of political prisoners in Myanmar are free.
More than 60 students were released, arrested during a protest over education reforms last year.
The plan to liberate them was announced by the country’s de-facto leader, Aung San Suu Kyi. This is part of a broader effort to grant general amnesty to certain prisoners.
CCTV America’s Mike Walter interviewed Priscilla A. Clapp, senior adviser at U.S. Institute of Peace & Asia Society about Myanmar politics.
