Red Cross’ Lidwina Dox on impact of winter and refugee crisis

Insight

More than 1,500 refugees have been stranded at the border between Greece and Macedonia, because authorities in Macedonia closed the border. Now that decision has been reversed.

Many of those refugees are now headed to a newly reopened refugee camp in Greece.
At least 15 migrants have died trying to reach the Greek islands this week alone. 12 of them in one day, on Thursday.

CCTV America’s Mike Walter spoke to Lidwina Dox. She’s a field coordinator for the Red Cross and is on Lesvos Island where the vast majority of this stream of migrants are entering Europe.
