Chinese parents are famous for their so-called “tiger mom” style of bringing up their children by laying down exacting standards in their kids education and extracurricular activities.

Now it seems learning musical instruments or playing sports isn’t enough — not when there are far more high-tech pursuits on offer, like computer coding.
