Researchers are finding that physical activity, especially aerobic exercise, has a significant positive impact on brain function, from improving learning to preventing dementia.

UCLA Research Psychologist Sarah McEwen is studying people as they train their minds, while at the same time, training their bodies.

“What we’re trying to find out in this study is looking at the relationship between exercise and memory training, the relationship between that and cognitive function,” explains McEwen.

“I don’t have the greatest memory,” says Philip. “I can forget something very quickly.”
