The Democratic Unity Roundtable now holds a majority in the country’s National Assembly giving it a strong platform to challenge and potentially unseat Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

    Hey CCTV: Leopoldo Lopez participated in a coup in 2002 against the Constitution and democratically elected President and National Assembly, but he was let off by the corrupt right-wing Supreme Court. Then last year he called for violence against the still democratic govt., just because. The deaths that ensued landed him in a well deserved jail term — this is not a “political prisoner.”
    And the govt. is just that, not a “regime.”
    Come on– you all are paid by the Peoples Republic of China, you have the freedom to step outside the right-wing U.S. corporate echo chamber when reporting on something outside of China.
