World leaders opened the much-anticipated climate conference Monday in Paris. From taxing carbon emissions to using more nuclear energy, what tools will they choose to combat climate change?

Melting glaciers, rising sea levels, more extreme weather, and mass extinction of species: these are the challenges facing us all. This new round of climate talks holds for many the hope that with decisive action, there’s still time to reverse some of the damage and make the world right once more.
