Business booming at the China-Vietnam border

China has been Vietnam’s biggest trade partner for the past 11 years, and business people from both countries are beneficiaries of these strengthening ties.

Dongxing, the border city of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is the gateway between China and Vietnam, around 15,000 people pass through the area each day.

“Walking on the busiest street in Dongxing, you can hear a lot of business people from both countries talking in each other’s language,” said CCTV’s He Weiwei.

The trading street is only a few hundred meters long, yet it brings endless prosperity to the city and opportunities for businesses around. As China and Vietnam pursue closer relations, real benefits are tangible for both sides.
