British artist Simon Beck has been obsessed with drawing massive patterns on snowfield with only his feet for a decade. The over 200 drawings, majorly featuring geometric patterns, each took him around 11 hours to make and cover an area about 10,000 square meters, according to the Guardian.

On how he managed to accomplish these exquisite snow drawings, Beck told the paper that he usually calculates his steps using a computer beforehand. He also takes a compass and energy bars with him to make sure there’s no interruption during the work.

However, unexpected incidents do happen. Once, careless skiers raced through and ruined the patterns.

Beck says that through his art he hopes to create awareness and appreciation for nature.
