They used to give out coupons to make the service cheaper, but now not only have the coupons gone away, but the charges for the rides have gone up according to the weather.

  • The prices for chauffeur services from Didi and Kuaidi are up between 5 and 60 yuan per ride. Uber, one of the biggest foreign operators in China, has always charged more for rides during bad weather.
  • Didi confirmed in an email that in the future they will be giving more subsidies to drivers, instead of to passengers.
