A cheaper yuan means different things to different people in China.
Analysts predict the devaluation will drag down the domestic stock market and property sector. That is as more capital could flee China in search of higher return assets.
Another group directly impacted will be students studying abroad. Tuition fees paid in foreign currency will be more expensive for them. It will also become more expensive for consumers to buy goods overseas, and for companies investing abroad.
