Russia vetoes tribunal proposal for Ukraine downed flight

The U.N. attempt to seek justice for those killed in the crash of MH-17 ran into a roadblock. Russia pledged to veto the U.N. Security Council draft resolution and it did just that. The measure called for a criminal tribunal to prosecute anyone found responsible for the Malaysia airlines crash.CCTV’s Liling Tan filed this report from the U.N. headquarters in New York.

  • The vote came, in which 11 hands went up in favor. Russia was the sole opponent. Three countries, including China, abstained.
