In the U.S., the national debate over the confederate battle flag is heating up. It’s a symbol of the rebelious South from the days of the American Civil War.  Many Americans want the display of the flag halted, but some defend the flag and the right to fly it.  This comes as lawmakers in South Carolina decide whether it’s a symbol of a proud heritage or an emblem of a shameful past.CCTV America’s Brian Mooar filed the report.
