A break down in sanitation following a major disaster like the South Asia earthquake can become a breeding ground for disease. That’s why Chinese medical experts are joining with Nepalese health officials in disease prevention efforts. CCTV’s Wang Tong Xuan filed this report.

Highlights:

  • Chinese medical experts are educating locals about disease prevention as well as taking samples of their food and drink.
  • The medical team is the second of its kind dispatched by the Chinese government after the earthquake.
  • Working closely with Nepalese Health Ministry, they have completed their analysis of over 130 water samples, and conducted surveys in 33 affected areas.
