Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko arrived in Canada as his first state visit to the country. He was greeted in Ottawa by Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Poroshenko addressed the Canadian parliament where he thanked Ukraine’s allies for their support. For many of Canada’s Ukrainian immigrants, Poroshenko’s visit was a bittersweet cause for celebration.
