Islamic State militants and Iraqi forces continue to battle for control in Iraq. International rights group Amnesty International has accused the Islamic State group of systematic “ethnic cleansing” in northern Iraq targeting indigenous religious minorities, as well as conducting mass killings of men and abducting women.

To discuss the situation in Iraq, CCTV America’s Anand Naidoo interviews Mazin Al-Eshaiker, Chairman of the Injah Development Center; and Schwan Zulal, a business and political consultant with expertise in the Kurdish region of Iraq.

For analysis on the conflict in Iraq, CCTV America’s Anand Naidoo is joined by Manal Omar, Acting Vice President at the Center for the Middle East and Africa at the United States Institute of Peace. Omar has also lived in Baghdad.
