During a meeting in the capital of Belarus, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed on a peace plan, according to the Interfax news agency.

During a meeting in the capital of Belarus, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin have agreed on a peace plan, according to the Interfax news agency.

It was their first face-to-face meeting since June. They were joined by the presidents of Belarus and Kazakhstan and three senior officials from the European Union in the Belarusian capital of Minsk. The meeting came as 10 Russian soldiers were captured by Ukrainian forces. Ukraine claims that Russia has opened a new war front.
