The U.N. warns that a Shiite town in Iraq is being strangled by the Sunni militants of the Islamic State. The town of Amerli is in the north, and the U.N. doesn’t want a repeat of what happened to the Yazidi people. In addition, a series of car bombs exploded across Iraq, killing at least 35 people. CCTV America’s Sean Callebs reports from Erbil.

For more on international pressure to wipe out the Islamic State, CCTV America was joined by Roby Barrett, a senior fellow at the Joint Special Operations University.
